NORWICH — The NBT Bank Free Summer Concert Series returns on Thursday, August 15 with an opening performance by Los Blancos at 6:30 p.m., followed by a free concert by Blood Brothers at 7 p.m. on the East Park stage in Norwich.

Made up of blues and roots musicians Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, Blood Brothers is a "collaborative effort of songwriting and performances to create a total listening experience greater than the sum of its parts," as described by the Chenango Blues Association.

Zito has received accolades throughout his career for authentic songs and albums, earning Song of the Year at the Blues Music Awards for his 2009 track "Pearl River," a nomination for Best Rock Blues Album at the Blues Music Awards for his 2011 album "Greyhound," taking the win for Best DVD with his band Royal Southern at the Blues Music Awards for "Songs from the Road – Live in Germany," several albums debuting at number one on the Billboard Blues Album Chart, and many more.

Castiglia has made himself known as a solo artist with impressive vocal chops, instrumental prowess, and unforgettable live performances. His multi-genre style has earned him several critically-acclaimed albums, as well as nominations for Blues Rock Album of the Year and Blues Rock Artist of the Year at the Blues Music Awards.
