BINGHAMTON – The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Binghamton is investigating the suspicious death of two individuals on Parsons Road in Chenango Forks.

Scott E. Cleary, age 63 of Chenango Forks, NY was located deceased in his residence.

Matthew J. Lott, age 38 of Chenango Forks, NY was located deceased a quarter mile north of the residence near railroad tracks.

Cleary and Lott were acquaintances living in the same residence.

Troopers were originally dispatched to the residence located at 257 Parsons Road on August 10, 2024 just before 9 a.m., for a report of a male down and not breathing. Lott was discovered a short time later near the railroad tracks.

The investigation is on-going. There is no threat to the community.
