CHENANGO COUNTY – The Tri-County Horseshoe League wrapped up its 17th week of play on August 8 with Octagon still cruising along in the top spot. Octagon now has bumped up to 200 wins and has 204 altogether.

Betty’s Boys II continues to be in the second spot of the standings, just 19 points back, but with Octagon posting 10 plus points a week, it’s been hard to catch them. Pond Crew remains in third place with Riverside and Betty’s Boys continuing to round out the top five teams. The bottom of the standings stay put as well with teams still close to making a move.

Octagon earned the 16-0 shutout victory over Hilltop, who sits in ninth, one point ahead of Bowlodrome. Bowlodrome fell to Dam Team 11-5 while Ticknors received a bye week. Betty’s Boys II held on against Riverside 9-7 as Pond Crew picked up the big 13-3 win over Chuggers. Betty’s Boys outscored Seebers 12-4 to wrap up the week.

The Tri-County Horseshoe League meets every Thursday night until the season concludes in September.
