Bobbie Burrs, of Smyrna, entered her queen-size Block-of-the-Month Sampler quilt in the 2024 New York State Fair and was awarded a first place blue ribbon for her division, “First Entry in the New York State Fair.”  The quilt was also on display last year at the Earlville Opera House.  It was designed by Teresa Coenen of Stitchin’ Tree quilt shop in Woodbine, IA.  Batik fabrics were used throughout the quilt.  “Long-arm” quilting was done by Barb Jenne of Sherburne.
