EARLVILLE — Earlville Opera House (EOH) is excited to present JP Payton and Loveday Greene, front persons of the Ithaca-based roots rock/Americana/alt country band Freight, making their EOH debut August 31 at 7 p.m. in our lovely outdoor courtyard.
This is the third show in EOH’s Summer Courtyard Series, which continues on September 13 with regional favorite Denny McCormick.
Displaying a knack for writing strong melodic hooks with infectiously lilting harmonies and supported by bluegrass-based guitar chops that would make Norman Blake proud, Payton and Greene's sound easily settles deep into the heart’s core. Perfect for fans of Robert Plant and Allison Kraus, Bonnie and Delaney, Emmylou Harris and Mark Knoffler, and other duo greats of the past, JP and Loveday present a dynamic and powerful performance sure to resonate in the soul of their audience long after the show has ended.
Tickets for this performance are $15 General, $12 Members/Earlville residents, $10 youth, and college students half off with ID, and can be purchased at www.earlvilleoperahouse.com. Our Artisan Gift Shop and annual Quilt Show will be open during the show, and you can vote for your favorite quilt!
