OXFORD – After taking on Hancock and Delhi and coming away with two wins under their belt, the Oxford Blackhawks golf team played their 2024 home opener at Bluestone against local opponent Bainbridge-Guilford. Oxford picked up their third win of the season with a 215-269 victory with both teams showing strength from their top golfers.

Bennett Paden continued to pave the way for Oxford with an all-around low of a 32 on the par 34 course. Degan Endress followed and shot a 39 as Kyle Benjamin finished with a 43. Blake Barrows had a 47 while Abby Denz and Uri Tracy both shot a 54.

Coming off individual medalist sectionals this past spring, Mike Lipani strives to have a great senior year. He has led the Bobcats with two great starts. He shot a team best 44 on Wednesday with Gavin Dicks achieving a 50. This Bobcats lineup has five seniors with eighth grader Mason Buchanan in the sixth hole. Brock Porter, a multi-sport fall athlete, shot a 55 as Buchanan had a 59. Blake Prisco shot a 61 with Jaedan Walling finishing with a 64.
