NORWICH — Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival gears up to celebrate their 30th Anniversary with an electrifying lineup of performances and activities for the whole family. Since their inception in 1995, the Festival has served as a vibrant hub for artists, performers, and arts enthusiasts from across the region.

This year's Festival will feature a diverse array of performances on the NBT Main Stage spanning genres from folk and jazz to dance and improv, showcasing the rich tapestry of talent that has defined Colorscape over the past three decades.

On Saturday, September 7, entertainment kicks off with Mustard's Retreat at 10 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 11 a.m. that includes the 2024 Volunteer of the Year award presentation to Joni Eaton and the community ColorsCape Award presentation to United Church of Christ, an 11:15 a.m. performance by Poet Shanelle Gabriel, and The Kennedys at 11:30 a.m.

Poet Shanelle Gabriel will take the stage again at 12:30 p.m., followed by Professor Louie and the Crowmatix with the Woodstock Horns at 1 p.m., and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams at 3 p.m.. At 5 p.m., Shadows and Light will bring the music of Joni Mitchell to the stage.

On Sunday, September 8, Autumn Sun will begin the day's entertainment with a performance at 11 a.m. Sloan Wainwright and Friends will take the stage at noon, followed by an announcement of Colorscape's Juried Artist Awards at 12:45 p.m.

Afterwards, entertainment will continue at 1 p.m. with a performance by John Gorka, the Bob Malone Band at 2 p.m., and the day will close at 3:30 p.m. with the Woodstock All Stars celebrating 60 years of The Beatles.

This year’s Festival will also feature 116 creators – 22 of which are brand new to Colorscape – displaying and selling their paintings, sculptures, fabric art, fine crafts, photography, and more.

Recognized as one of the country's top 200 fine art and design classic and contemporary craft shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine, Colorscape Chenango has celebrated premier artists in downtown Norwich since 1995. This free, two-day festival in September features over 100 creators displaying and selling their paintings, sculptures, fabric art, fine crafts, photography, and more. Colorscape also offers nationally renowned musical performers, poetry and literary arts, food, and interactive art activities for all ages. The 2024 Colorscape will be held rain or shine on September 7 and 8 in East and West Parks in Norwich.
