OXFORD - September isn’t just about getting back to school and back to work after summer vacations, it’s also the height of the summer-into-fall harvest period when so much is in season: tomatoes and corn, the first apples of the season, eggplant and beans and squash, potatoes and garlic.

All the late summer flowers are reaching their optimal beauty. You’ll find all this abundance and much more at the Oxford Farmers’ Market every Saturday thru the end of September, 9 am - noon on Lafayette Park, rain or shine!

Vendors this week will be offering a huge array of locally-grown seasonal fruits, vegetables and mushrooms; locally raised and processed beef, lamb, pork and chicken; chicken and duck eggs; a wide range of cheese, butter, and other dairy products; artisanal breads and baked goods; hot, cold-brewed and iced coffee; fudges and jams; local hard ciders; maple syrup and honey; home-made healthy treats for dogs, hand-made soaps, lotions and balms; items for the kitchen and home; and artisan fiber products. Every product straight from a local source and the skilled hands of your neighbors.

And the soulful local band, The RPMs, performing in the Bandstand from 10 a.m. - Noon.
