ONEONTA – Chenango County was well-represented at the Dave Forbes Invitational over the weekend in Oneonta. It was the first cross country meet of the 2024 season. Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton / Harpursville, Unadilla Valley/GMU, and Norwich had a solid first meet with experienced runners returning for a new season.

BGAH:

BGAH led all local teams with a fifth place finish for the girls’ team and a 11th place finish for the boys. After losing Ethne Degan to graduation, Maddie Ingham has done a great job filling her leading role. Ingham finished 11th with teammate Laeni Baldwin in 18th place and Jalyn Winans in 21st. The BGAH boys were led by Owen Degan in 31st place.

The BGAH cross country program is also proud of its modified girls’ team, who earned second place in the meet, which was the best result in BGAH history. Congratulations!
