EARLVILLE — Check out the amazing activities being offered at the 2024 Earlville Community Days on Friday and Saturday, September 13 and 14. There is something for everyone! Come gather with family and friends and enjoy a weekend of pride celebrating the Village of Earlville.
Starting on Friday, September 13 is the Kickball Tournament from 4 to 8:30 p.m. on Baker’s Field. Join as your own team. At 6 p.m. on Fireman’s Field is “Family Tradition Band” with the Deli-licious Food Truck onsite along with Cotton Candy sales and fireworks at dusk. At 7 p.m., the Earlville Opera House hosts musician Denny McCormick in its beautiful outdoor Courtyard ($15/$12 members and Earlville residents).
On Saturday, September 14, the Kickball Tournament continues on Baker’s Field from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Out and about in Earlville you will find community-wide yard sales starting at 9 a.m., with the Bell Tree hosting an indoor yard sale starting at the same time. The Bargain Basket will be open noon to 3 p.m. for donations only, and from 12 to 3 p.m., the Opera House is hosting free youth t-shirt tie dying.
Schmitt Dance Studio kicks off the Huff Brau’s annual Block Party with a performance at 4:30 p.m., followed by Jon Rogalia and The Swamp Boys headlining the Block Party until 10 p.m., with Gary Robertson Jr. and Ted Brooks opening in the alley prior.
Saturday, on Fireman’s Field, the day begins at 9 a.m. with a Car Show until noon, food truck and bounce house until 2 p.m., crafters and free face painting until 3 p.m., and a Chobani yogurt giveaway from 9 a.m. until gone.
Join in the Cornhole Tournament beginning at 9:30 a.m. and enjoy a Mobile Coffee Bar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accompany the Tractor Pulls starting at 10 a.m. The Sheriff’s Department will have a Child ID event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be pony rides from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ($5 per ride), and you can “Touch a Truck” from 1 to 4 p.m. If you get hungry, the Earlville Fire Department is having a chicken BBQ from noon until sold out.
The Earlville Food Cupboard is accepting non-perishable donations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, the Earlville Food Cupboard is hosting a Business Raffle Basket with entry for adults being three non-perishable, non-expired food items. A Youth Basket Raffle is also taking place with entry being one non-perishable, non-expired food item per youth to benefit the Food Cupboard.
Also on site throughout the day will be a Chinese Auction, the Boy Scouts, Madison County Headstart and Earlville 4 Earlville. Come make some memories with your family, friends and neighbors in this fun-packed weekend for everyone!
