OXFORD – After a second place finish in the Sherburne-Earlville kickoff tournament, the Oxford Blackhawks girls’ soccer team welcomed MAC opponent Afton/Harpursville to the high school field on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. Oxford earned a big 11-0 shutout victory in front of their home crowd. It was Afton/Harpursville’s first game as they return as a varsity program this season.

Oxford took a 7-0 victory within the first 20 minutes of the game while the Crimson Knights did see one touch and had a shot on goal within the final 20 minutes of the first half. Afton/Harpursville’s senior Grace Sabol made at least nine saves in the first half with Oxford shooting the ball well.
