SHERBURNE — The Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, located at 2721 State Route 80 in Sherburne, will be celebrating the autumn equinox on Sunday, September 22 at 7 p.m. with their quarterly Nature Trivia Night.
Friends of Rogers Environmental Educator Ellen Rathbone said they host trivia nights each quarter on the solstice or equinox, featuring questions all related to the natural world.
"We have a series of questions that are all nature based. They could be about natural history discovery, they could be about famous naturalists or ornithologists or some sort of person associated with the natural world," said Rathbone. "Some are things like, 'how many legs does a millipede have?'"
Other possible question topics include bugs, birds, water, weather, and geology.
Area residents are encouraged to get in on the fun by signing up as an individual or as a team. To register, call 607-674-4733 or email ellen@friendsofrogers.org.
The game is organized into several rounds of five questions each, with individuals and teams earning points for correct answers.
