Each year, Commerce Chenango celebrates the rich history of manufacturing in Chenango County by hosting a Manufacturing Appreciation event.

At this event, they honor a Commerce Chenango member who shows excellence in their practice.

This year, Commerce Chenango selected Unison, a GE Aerospace Company, as the 2024 Manufacturer of the year. In addition to their support of Commerce Chenango, they have always provided job opportunities and invested in the community.

Their most recent investment of $3.4 million was celebrated by NY Senator Chuck Schumer.

Commerce Chenango President & CEO Sal Testani states, “We are very fortunate to have a company like Unison in Chenango County, they have played a vital role in the local economic environment for decades. We are extremely proud to honor them at our upcoming event.”

The Manufacturing Lunch will be held on October 3rd from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Lewis’ Restaurant in Sherburne. Lunch will be served while Unison, a GE Aerospace Company, is presented the 2024 Manufacturer of the year award.

The public is invited, and Commerce Chenango Manufacturing Members will be admitted for free. Members will be charged $25, and non-members will be charged $50. Commerce Chenango celebrates their Manufacturer of the year in conjunction with the Manufacturing Institute’s Manufacturing (MFG) Day. MFG Day is a grassroots movement that empowers manufacturers to come together and address their current challenges. MFG Day, celebrated on the first Friday of October, demonstrates the reality of and builds excitement about manufacturing careers to help their communities and future generations thrive.
