OXFORD - The Oxford Memorial Library is in full swing for fall.
September is library card sign up month so if you don’t already have a library we would urge you to stop in at your local library and sign up for a card.
The library cards issued at any of the libraries in the Four County Library System are good at any of the other libraries in the system so one library card gets you access to 43 libraries.
On Saturday, September 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the library is hosting a Recipe Swap.
Bring a dish to share and the recipe. We do not have cooking facilities, other than a small microwave, so all dishes must be ready to serve. This promises to be not only a fun time but a delicious time. Come join us, share one of your favorites and try something new.
We are gearing up for a really huge Book Clearance Sale. This will run from Saturday, October 5 – Saturday October 12 during our regular library hours. We have a huge collection of books for all ages plus DVDs and Books on CD. We do not price our items but rather just ask for a cash donation of whatever you wish to give. Please come and check it out and stock up! Our hours are Monday – Thursday 9:30am-8:00pm; Friday 9:30-5:00 and Saturday 9:30-1:00.
October is the Great Give Back month and the library plans to participate in that by collection non-perishable food items from October 1 – October 19. There will be a big box in the main part of the library for donations. The food items will be donated to the Oxford Food Pantry.
A really special program on The Loomis Gang will be presented at the Oxford library by Vicki House. This program will be held on Saturday, October 26 at 1:00pm. Come and hear more about the infamous Loomis Gang.
We are also planning some cool crafts and other activities so be sure to check out our website www.oxfordmemoriallibrary.org. or call us at 607-843-6146.
The Oxford Memorial Library is your home town community center for education and entertainment, a great place to meet friends and neighbors.
