ENDWELL – The Norwich Purple Tornado girls’ swim team swam in the Maine-Endwell Invitational over the weekend, where the team took sixth place with four girls scoring and no divers. Coach Gantt was impressed with the girls dropping over 90 seconds in personal best times.
“Everyone swam extremely well at this point in the season,” Gantt said. “It gave them some confidence in their training going forward. We will be ramping it up in the next four weeks.”
For the team relays, Norwich took third in the 400 freestyle relay, behind Chenango Valley and Vestal, and placed fifth in the 200 freestyle relay.
