Sheriff: Detectives Arrest Alleged Sherburne Drug Dealer For Selling Fentanyl And Meth

CHENANGO COUNTY - On September 27, a Town of Sherburne resident was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff's Office for selling methamphetamine and fentanyl from her residence.

Lori S. Devine, 43, of the Town of Sherburne, was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a B Class felony; fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a D Class felony; tampering with physical evidence and first degree criminal nuisance, E Class felonies. She was also charged with two counts of second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia; and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors.

Chenango County Sheriff Ernest Cutting reported Devine was arrested after the detectives division conducted an investigation into drug activity.

According to the police, during the investigation detectives found that Devine was selling methamphetamine and fentanyl from her residence in the Town of Sherburne. Later in the investigation, Chenango County Court Judge Frank Revoir Jr., signed a search warrant for Devine’s residence.

During the execution of the search warrant Police reported Devine attempted to dispose of the physical evidence and was taken into custody without incident inside the home.

During the search members of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office reported locating methamphetamine, and fentanyl inside the residence.

Devine was arraigned in centralized arraignment and released. Devine will appear in the Town of Sherburne Court at a later date.

All crimes described are allegations, and suspects named are innocent of the charges until proven guilty in a court of law.
