CHENANGO COUNTY – The 2024 MAC league soccer playoffs kicked off Tuesday afternoon with the girls’ and boys’ soccer semi-finals and the first round of the consolation bracket. The Greene boys’ soccer team earned the top seed and hosted Delhi, B-G boys hosted UV/GMU, and the UV girls hosted Greene. The Afton/Harpursville girls traveled to Delhi to round out the bottom four girls teams. Each game result is listed below.

Boys Soccer:

Delhi 1 - Greene 0

The Delhi Bulldogs are heading to the MAC boys championship game with a 1-0 win over Greene and will face the winner of Oxford-Sidney on Saturday, October 19. The game was scoreless after the first half until Delhi scored in the first 12 minutes of the second half, which ended up being the game-winner. Greene had 11 shots on goal with four from Kenny Baucas. Delhi was held to three shots on goal, but had the lucky break. Jackson Roth made two saves in goal for the Trojans. Greene will play the loser of the Oxford-Sidney game in the consolation round.
