OXFORD – After the Oxford Blackhawks girls’ soccer team defeated Sidney the night before in overtime, the Oxford boys followed through to join the girls in the MAC title game with a 4-1 win over the Sabers. It was the third meeting between both teams, which Oxford swept all three games.

Oxford got the ball rolling within the first 10 minutes of play as they showed good possession early on and capitalized on such with a goal from Paxton LaMonica. With both teams putting pressure on one another, the game settled in. However, Paxton got a hold of another great ball, this time from Gordon Smith and Paxton was able to sneak it in past the goalkeeper.
