EARLVILLE — The Sherburne-Earlville Central School District Drama Club will be performing "Little Women" at 7 p.m. on November 8 and 9 and at 3 p.m. on November 10 at the Earlville Opera House, located at 18 East Main Street in Earlville, in their historic 1892 performing theater.

"Little Women" is a four-act play that centers around the March family who live in Concord, Massachusetts in the 1800s.

"It really focuses on the March sisters and their relationship as sisters," explained Director Lisette Shiffer. "The main character is probably Jo March, which is the oldest sister, and it kind of follows her especially. She’s not the typical girl of that time period: she doesn't want to get married, she wants to be able to write books, and kind of break tradition of what women are supposed to be like, and so it touches a little bit on that in the show as well, which I love."

The cast is made up of S-E middle and high schoolers Clark Vischi as Mr. March, Amelia Casscles as Mrs. March, Rose Rivenburgh as Meg, Ryker Fuller as Jo, Amanda Markiewicz as Beth, Bethany Garrison as Amy, Evie Krivit as Aunt March, Seth Hamilton as Mr. Laurence, Liam Acly as Laurie, Cameron Carpenter as Professor Bhaer, Jaiden Lester as John Brooke, and McKennah Jones as Hannah Mullet.
