CHENANGO COUNTY - Ahead of the General Election on November 5, the Chenango County Board of Elections advises voters to confirm their registrations to avoid Election Day issues.
Check your status by calling the Board at 607-337-1760, or go online at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov, or by visiting the office at 5 Court Street, Norwich, NY, or by emailing boe@chenangocountyny.gov. The last day to register was October 26.
If you’ve requested an absentee or early mail ballot, check its status online at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov.
Election Day: Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Verify your local polling site before voting. Early voting is being conducted at the County Office Building but on election day you must vote at your local polling site.
Early Voting: October 30 through November 3 at the Chenango County Board of Elections. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekdays vary, with extended hours (9 a.m. to 8 p.m.) on October 29 and 31.
October 29 is the last day for military/special Federal absentee applications for already registered voters, while November 4 is the final day to apply in person for General Election or military absentee ballots.
Tuesday, November 5, is election day. It is also the last day to postmark General Election ballots due by November 12, and to deliver ballots in person to the board or any poll site. Also the final day for postmarked military, special Federal, and UOCAVA ballots, which must arrive by November 18.
