NORWICH — The Guernsey Memorial Library, located at 3 Court Street in Norwich, will be hosting a Craft Swap this month, where crafters can turn in unwanted craft supplies and pick up new ones.
"Basically it’s because we all have little piles of crafty objects at home that we’ve got leftover from projects, or we bought it and we decided not to do it, and it’s too good to throw away and we don’t know what to do with it," explained Guernsey Library Director Connie Dalrymple.
She said individuals can turn in any items that can be used to craft, such as art supplies, yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks, stamps, fabric, and much more, so long as the supplies are clean and in usable condition.
Supplies can be turned in at the library's front desk from November 17 to 29 during the library's normal operating hours. Individuals who turn in supplies will be given a ticket that gives them access to the Craft Swap event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 in the Community Room.
Dalrymple suggests bringing a shopping bag or two, as individuals can take as many craft supplies as they'd like.
