NORWICH — The Place, located at 22 East Main Street in Norwich, will be offering a free American Red Cross Babysitter Training Course for Chenango County youth aged 11 to 16 on Saturday, November 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"I am teaching the kids how to start a babysitting business, how to continue running it, how to branch out, how to safely get clients, and then we go over the skills, what you’ll need to be a babysitter. Then we do the first aid and CPR piece," explained Authorized Instructor and The Place Teen Program Coordinator Elizabeth Hathaway, who will be teaching the class.

Availability for the course is limited, so local teens are encouraged to register for the course soon. To register, contact The Place at 607-336-9696. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for participants.
