Chenango County Sheriff Arrests Plymouth Resident For Assault

SHERBURNE – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Town of Plymouth resident on a charge of second-degree assault, a class D violent felony, following a domestic dispute in the Town of Sherburne.

Damion M. Spicer, 29, was arrested on Nov. 6 after deputies responded to a report of an assault. According to the Sheriff’s Office, an investigation determined that Spicer allegedly struck the victim several times in the face, causing serious physical injury. The victim was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for further treatment.

Spicer was taken into custody and arraigned at the Chenango County Centralized Arraignment. He was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sherburne Court at a later date.

All charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
