NORWICH — The Chenango Arts Council will be giving member artists the chance to exhibit their work at the annual Members' Exhibit and Holiday Party opening reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 14. The exhibit will be held in the Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries at the Chenango Arts Council, located at 27 West Main Street in Norwich.
The exhibit is open to the public and free to attend. Wine and refreshments will be provided by The Cottage Bakery, and live music will be performed by Steve Blais, thanks to a grant from the Pearl and Everett Gilmour Foundation.
Individuals of all Chenango Arts Council member levels are welcome to submit pieces for the show, and each member can submit up to three works of art. Chenango Arts Council Administrative Assistant Mary Beth Miller said the show is open to artistic mediums of all kinds.
"Anyone who is a member of Chenango Arts Council can submit up to three pieces of work in a variety of mediums," she said. "It’s open to a lot of different categories: drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media, there’s been graphic design things in the past."
Individuals submitting artwork should drop off their pieces at the Chenango Arts Council by December 7, along with a submission form that includes information such as the title of the work and the medium used.
