UTICA – The Sherburne-Earlville bowling team kicked off the 2024 season with a 5-0 victory over Sauquoit Valley on Tuesday afternoon.

After finishing 10-3 last year, the Timberwolves started strong, with many experienced bowlers returning. The team lost only one senior at the end of last season, and their depth and talent give them a promising outlook for the year ahead.

S-E also boasts a strong mix of youth, with eighth grader Collin Pattee leading the team with a 536 series, including a 223 in the third game. Freshman Matthew Morgan posted a 526, while sophomore Leland Smith, who bowled a 214 in his second game to finish with a 501 series. Other key returners include senior Colton Camenga who added a 471, finishing with a 167 in his final game, and junior Nick Jenkins, who ended with a 370.

Sauquoit Valley’s scores ranged from 224 to 598.

S-E (1-0) will be back in action this afternoon at Little Falls, with the match set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
