OV Girls Bounce Back With Big Win Over Cincinnatus

MADISON – After a tough season opener against Stockbridge Valley, the Otselic Valley Vikings girls’ basketball team rebounded with an impressive 43-10 victory over Cincinnatus, concluding the Madison Tip-Off Tournament.

The Vikings dominated from the start, outscoring the Red Lions 27-2 in the first half and holding them scoreless in the second quarter. OV carried their momentum into the third quarter before both teams slowed the pace in the final eight minutes.

Miranda Hackett led the charge with 13 points, building on her 12-point performance in the opener. She also recorded a team-high seven steals, four rebounds, and two assists. Emma Rooker, Mackenzie Reandeau, and Riley Bartlett each contributed six points, with Reandeau pulling down a team-high seven rebounds. Bartlett and Caylene Russell also chipped in six rebounds apiece.

Abiana White added four points, while Katie Kenyon, Lily Palmer, Gracie Rooker, and Russell each scored two, rounding out an all-around team effort.
