OXFORD – The 61st annual Clyde Cole wrestling tournament was underway in the Oxford High School gymnasium over the weekend. It was a great turnout, where there was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears shred on all three mats as teams competed their way into Saturday's finals. Shenendehowa took home the overall win with 254 team points with Carthage as the runner-up. Oxford-Greene finished seventh as Sidney came in 13th, Norwich in 14th, and BGAH in 15th for the local teams.

Norwich Sophomore Maverick Beckwith represented all the local area teams in the finals, where he won the 131 weight class and had won his 100th career match on Friday night.

O-G Dawson Parks 2-2, defeated Norwich's Schuster in a 1:20 pin.

SID Caden MacPherson 2-2, defeated BGAH's Ryan with 3:30 pin.

O-G Dylan Bowers 1-2, defeated Canastota's Daylah Diaz with 2:45 pin.

SID Anthony Botte- 6th place, 3-3, defeated Norwich's Carpenter in a 12-5 decision.
