BG Boys Come Away With Another Big Win; Defeats Roxbury

BAINBRIDGE – After opening the season with an electric win against GMU, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats boys basketball team hosted Gilboa-Conesville/Roxbury in Friday’s home opener. B-G excelled in a well-rounded team effort to win 61-23.

It was a close first half with B-G taking the 22-19 lead at the break. It was all Bobcats in the second half, where the defense held Roxbury to only two field goals (four points) in the final 16 minutes. B-G posted a team-high 25 points in the fourth quarter.

Tim Kinter stayed consistent throughout the contest as he led the team with 16 points. He went 4-for-6 at the free-throw line. Isaiah Hampton followed with 11 points as Colin Dailey hit two three’s in the fourth quarter and finished with 10 points.

Declyn Marshfield, who had a great season opener against GMU, was held to seven points in the second half. Michael Lipani notched in six points as Aidan Haynes scored four points and Cyrus Megale had three points. Levi Fletcher and Dominick Johnson chipped in two points apiece in the win.
