PENFIELD – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves wrestling team is off to a good start to begin the 2024 season after winning the Penfield-Hunter Holiday Tournament over the weekend. The team brings back many key wrestlers to the mat, including senior Landon Andrade, who won sectionals and finished fourth at states last year. He started his senior year out with a bang by winning the 285 weight class at Penfield.
S-E also had a total of eight wrestlers place in this tournament, including Drew Telesky, Aiden Kiehn, Justin Race, and Nick Miller all take second in their respective weight classes. Cody Clarkson took fourth in the 160 weight class as Richard Fuller finished third in the 190 weight class. Jackson Moore finished fourth in the 116 weight class.
Noah Ackermann, Manny Hollins, and Aiden Shreve also competed in the tournament, but fell short of placing.
