GREENE – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats and the Greene Trojans boys basketball teams met for a MAC league contest on Wednesday night, where both teams played competitively, but B-G came away with a 50-40 victory. B-G improves to 4-1 to start the season and 1-1 in league play. Greene still seeks their first win of the season.
Both teams were off to a slow start until B-G fired up with 22 points in the third quarter, after leading 20-13 at halftime. Greene attempted a comeback in the final eight minutes but fell short, struggling at the free-throw line by making only 4 of 14 attempts, most of which came in the fourth quarter.
Colin Dailey led B-G with 15 points with three three’s as Tim Kinter finished with 10 points and Michael Lipani with nine points.
Greene was led by Keegan Waltz with 14 points as Jacob Eroshevich and Parker Flanagan both added six points each in the loss.
