DEPOSIT – The Oxford Blackhawks girls basketball team traveled to Deposit to take on Deposit-Hancock, where they came away with a commanding 49-19 win. It was a team effort win with great play on both ends of the court.
Oxford had a slow second quarter, but took a 21-10 lead at halftime and never looked back. Their defense was strong to limit the Eagles to single digit scoring all night while the offense played steadily in the final 16 minutes.
Emmalee Reiss led the Blackhawks with 10 points as Margaret Rovente finished with eight points. Paige Rickard hit a three and added seven points, along with teammate Abby Denz. Aubrey Rickard finished with six points while Taegan Manwarren had five points and Christine Seiler, Emily Holbert, and Olivia Oliver each contributed with one basket each for two points.
