RICHMONDVILLE – The Norwich Purple Tornado wrestling team traveled to Cobleskill-Richmondville High School to compete in the Battle in the Valley, where they took fifth.

Norwich had 11 wrestlers in the meet with Jack Barnes going 4-0 in the 190 weight class. Jadyn Carpenter went 3-1 as Kolby Vielandi and Bryce Wellington both went 2-2 and Malakai Hagenbuch finished 2-1. Ryan Evans, Evan Health, Collin Howe, and Anthony Roberts came away with one win as Rhyan Kline and Blayne Sutton fought hard in all their matches but did not add a win.

Norwich will be competing in the Windsor Christmas tournament on Friday, December 27.
