UTICA – The Norwich Purple Tornado, the BGA Bears, and the Unadilla Valley Storm indoor track teams competed in the CNY Holiday Classic morning session, held at Utica University over the holiday weekend. The Norwich girls came in 19th place while UV tied for 23rd place and BGA in 24th out of 27 placements.

The Norwich boys finished 13th as BGA tied for 17th and UV did not place within the 23 positions.

Maddie Ingham led the BGA girls team with two top 10 finishes, including a fifth place finish in the 800 meter run with a new best time of 2:36.46 and she finished ninth in the 1000 meter run (3:21.68). Macey LaFever finished 33rd in the 1000 meter run and came in 27th in the 1500 meter run with Vanessa Brazee ahead of her in 25th.

Makayla McCloud took eighth in the 55 meter dash as Brenna George finished 28th. Appalonia Bushaw competed in both the 300 and 400 meter dashes. She came in 24th place in the 300 meters with a new best time of 48.87 seconds with Isabelle Suda in 27th with her own personal best of 52.18 seconds. Bushaw also finished 25th in the 400 meters event with setting a new personal time of 1:12.35.
