NORWICH — The Guernsey Memorial Library, located at 3 Court Street in Norwich, will be hosting their first ever "Stuffed Animal Sleepover" for local youth.

Chenango County area children can drop off their favorite stuffed animal or toy at the library between 2 and 5 p.m. on Friday, January 24, where they will spend the night and get up to fun adventures.

Guernsey Memorial Library Children's Librarian Kim Hazen said kids will get the chance to decorate a picture frame, and then the librarians will take a picture of what their stuffed animal did during their overnight at the library for a keepsake.

"They can drop off their stuffed animal and we’re going to make a picture frame at that time. So any time that they drop in, I’ll be here. I’ll have all the supplies and we’ll make a little picture frame and basically it’s going to be for their picture that they’re going to get the next day," Hazen explained. "So then Saturday when they come they’ll get their stuffed animal back, of course, with a picture of what their stuffed animal did during the sleepover."
