SOUTH OTSELIC – The Otselic Valley Viking boys basketball team hosted non-league opponent Manlius-Pebble Hill on Monday, where they snapped a two-game skid with a 50-39 victory. The Vikings are now an even 4-4 on the season.

OV was limited in the first eight minutes as they were held to five points with both teams getting an early feel for one another. The Vikings picked up the pace, where they turned up the defense and the offense excelled with 21 points before halftime. OV led 26-20 at the break.

Both teams were even after the third quarter with 12 points apiece and OV still holding a six-point lead entering the fourth quarter. OV played consistent in the final eight minutes and held the Trojans to seven points.
