OXFORD – It was a historic night at the Oxford High School gymnasium as the first-ever girls dual meet was held between Oxford-Greene and Deposit-Hancock on Tuesday. Both teams put on a show following the boys meet in an exciting atmosphere.

Ahraya Whitt defeated Deposit-Hancock’s Teehgan Tarbox in a 1:48 pin while Lily Karn and Christina Greene picked up wins by forfeit. Maggie Braman, Brooke Williams, and Kelsey Loiselle fought hard in their respective matches but fell short. Karn also went into an exhibition match with Deposit-Hancock’s Sophie Baundendistel, which Karn came out with a win by technical fall.
