GREENE – The Oxford-Greene wrestling team hosted Walton-Delhi at Greene High School on Wednesday night, where they honored the Greene seniors before the match. Congratulations to Christopher Callahan, Alex Stewart, and Aiden Marcin. The team recognized Oxford’s Dylan Bowers and Colten Button at a prior match.

The Oxford-Greene wrestling program also recognized the youth wrestling program and introduced all the wrestling programs offered with the new girls wrestling team and all the boys before honoring the seniors.

Oxford-Greene then took on a tough Walton-Delhi team with the Wardogs taking the 47-30 win.

There were six forfeits in this match with Walton-Delhi picking up four of six as Oxford-Greene’s Kenny Baucas and Urijah Dibble also earned forfeits.

Chris Callahan came away with the victory for the seniors as he pinned Marco Possemato in 2:40 for the final match of the night. With Possemato trying to take him down, Callahan got the reversal he needed to take the win by pin.

Isaiah Sexton earned a quick :57 pin on Jaxon Backus in the 190 weight class as Kade Mustin came away with a 3:55 pin over Kohl Muller in a hard fought match at 131 pounds.
