UNATEGO – On Wednesday, the Unatego-UV-Franklin Spartans wrestling team hosted Deposit-Hancock at Unatego High School. The Spartans defeated the Eagles 41-27, and improved to 13-5 overall on the season.

Yanni Drapaniotis remains unbeaten as he pinned Landen Bailey in 1:42 and is 29-0 on the season.

Shon Klintchev earned a win by forfeit in the 101 weight class to get things started. Brogan Lefever picked up a win by pin over Xavien Ramos in 1:30. Gavin Nordberg won by major decision 8-0 to earn his 26th win of the season and 116th win overall.

Wyatt Meade earned his 17th pin of the season as he took down Jackson Velez in 1:53. Abdeen Zaggout picked up his 30th win in a 15-4 major decision against Asaac Mead. Ahmet Zaggout had a tough match against Gavin Canedo, but came out with a pin in 5:41.

Caleb Wildenstein defeated Sam Hallock by a 8-3 decision in the 190 weight class.

Unatego-UV-Franklin heads to Waverly this evening at 6 p.m.
