SHERBURNE –The Sherburne-Earlville girls basketball team went into their fourth straight home game on Friday night against non-league opponent Waterville. Coming off some tough losses, S-E snapped a long skid with a 47-20 win. S-E also swept the two-game set against the Eagles.
S-E was a powerhouse on defense, holding the Eagles to single-digit scoring throughout the contest and settling in on a comfortable lead.
S-E had their best defensive effort of the season with forcing 30 turnovers and a team-best 18 steals and blocked seven shots. Kendall Hill led the Timberwolves with six of the 18 steals while Peyton Darragh had three of the team's seven blocks.
