NORWICH — The Place's EPIC Program, formerly known as the Teen Program, will be hosting a teen bingo day from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 26 at 22 East Main Street in Norwich.

Teens ages 13 to 19 can drop in anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. to enjoy music, food, bingo, and fun prizes.

"We’re starting some drop-in hours, which means teens from Chenango County are just allowed to drop by from 1 to 4 on Sunday the 26. Just come on in, they don’t have to call ahead and register they can just walk in," explained The Place EPIC Program Coordinator Elizabeth Hathaway.

Hathaway said prizes include craft boxes such as a crystal growing kit and a castle building kit, as well as themed gift baskets.

"We have a bunch of goodie baskets that I put together. There’s one that’s hot beverages, so it comes with cups and cocoa mixes and teas," she said. "There's one that’s like a spa day kind of thing, it has a face mask and some comfy socks and bath bombs. There’s a reading one, so it has a blanket and some books."

The bingo day is a part of The Place's new drop-in hours for the EPIC Program. Two Sundays a month, Chenango County teens are welcome to stop by The Place during the scheduled hours to participate in fun activities and cooking lessons.
