GREENE - The Chenango County Planning Department is calling on community volunteers to assist in a design project for Gaius M. Cook Park in Greene.
The project is being undertaken in collaboration with Cornell University’s Design Connect program, a student-run organization providing planning and design services to upstate New York communities.
Volunteers will work with Cornell students to develop and refine ideas for improving the county-owned park. The process will involve both in-person and virtual meetings, with the project scheduled for completion by May.
Preference will be given to recent visitors or campers of Gaius M. Cook Park, who can provide valuable insight into the park’s needs and potential enhancements.
Those interested in participating or making a nomination should contact the Chenango County Planning Department at planning@chenangocountyny.gov.
