DEPOSIT – After getting back on track with a big win over Harpursville, the Greene Trojans girls basketball team came away with another big win against Deposit-Hancock 52-20.
Greene held the Eagles to four points in the first half, not allowing a single point in the second quarter, which allowed the Trojans offense to take a big lead at halftime and continue to pace themselves in the second half. Greene scored their best 22 points in the second quarter to go along with a strong defense.
Abby Yahner led the Trojans with a game-high 19 points and was perfect at the free-throw line, making four-of-four attempts. She had eight of the team’s 22 points in the second quarter.
Cali Knapp followed with 10 points with two threes as Josie Dutcher had seven points, all in the first half.
