SYRACUSE – After winning the Section IV, Division II dual meet championship, the Unatego-UV-Franklin wrestlers traveled to SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College for the NYSPHSAA state dual meet championship. The Spartans, in the "B" pool, reached the semifinals, but fell to top-seeded John Glenn out of Section XI.

Unatego-UV-Franklin went 2-1 on the day, defeating both Section I's NS Nanuet and Section VIII's Seaford 47-26 before falling in the semis.

Congratulations, Spartans. The wrestlers will now prepare for individual sectionals and states.
