CORTLAND – Over the weekend, the BGA, Norwich, Oxford-Greene, and Unadilla Valley indoor track teams traveled to SUNY Cortland to compete in an additional Section IV invitational. This invite comes as extra prep time before sectionals on February 8.

Girls:
The BGA girls took third in the meet behind both Binghamton and Springville-Griffith Institute.
Makayla McCloud led the Bears with a second place finish in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.63 seconds, behind Binghamton’s 7.31. Brenna George finished 12th with a time of 8.31 seconds as Appalonia Bushaw took 12th in the 300 meter dash with a new best 48.06 seconds.
Olivia Hall earned a third place finish in the 1500 meter race walk with a time of 9:28.55 as Maddy Lucchese came in fifth with a new best time of 10:14.56.
Maddie Ingham also picked up a third place finish in the 1000 meter run, while finishing fourth in the 600 meters. She ran the 1000 meter run in 3:15.55 as teammate Vanessa Brazee finished 23rd (4:09.03).
Brazee and Macey LaFever ran the 1500 meters, where LaFever finished 15th and Brazee followed in 16th. LaFever achieved a new best time of 6:21.77.
Emily Sprow came in second in the triple jump with a jump of 31 feet, two and 3/4 inches, behind Vestal’s 31-8. She also took fifth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.99 seconds with Breegan George in 13th place.
