AFTON – The Afton Crimson Knights boys basketball team hosted local opponent Greene on Tuesday night with the 2024-25 regular season winding down. Both teams have been at a struggle this season, so this game was a sense of urgency, with both desperate to secure a much-needed win. Greene came away with their second win of the season in a 57-27 victory.
After a slow start for both teams, Greene amped up efforts and never looked back as they posted a best 23 points before halftime. The Trojans played a strong defense and stayed consistent in the second half.
Jacob Eroshevich led the Trojans with 13 points with two threes and had five points in the dominant second quarter. Keegan Waltz followed with 11 points, including seven free throws.
Parker Flanagan knocked in three threes as Eli Eggleston hit two threes and both finished with nine points.
