SHERBURNE - The 47th annual Winter Living Celebration took place Feb. 1 at the Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center last week. Organizer thanked participants stating, “What a wonderful time! We’re so grateful for our volunteers, sponsors, vendors, partners, and attendees. Thank you for making this event so special.”
The event featured horse-drawn sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. Forest Rangers from the Department of Environmental Conservation performed ice rescue demonstrations, showcasing water rescues and ice safety measures. Trout Unlimited demonstrated fly-tying, while visitors also participated in cross-cut sawing and live music entertainment.A new addition to this year’s event was the opening of the Sugar Shack.
