SYRACUSE – Over the weekend, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves swim team competed in the Section III State qualifiers held at Nottingham High School.

Sophomore Parker McCracken as well as teammates in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay teams qualified to go from great finishes in the Section III, Class B/C championships last Wednesday.

McCracken set another personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing 21st in a time of 1:09.32. He and 200 free relay teammates Isaac Larchar, Ava Flanagan and Collin Maguire all had personal-best splits for a 20th place finish with a total time of 1:47.26, which was more than seven seconds faster than their 1:55.04 finish at the Section III Class B/C championships.

The 400 free relay, featuring Flanagan, Madelyn Chouinard, Amelia Furlong and Isaac also had personal-best splits Friday.
