BAINBRIDGE – After the Bainbridge-Guilford girls’ basketball team defeated Walton/Downsville, the Bobcats boys looked to cap off the doubleheader with a win.The boys did not disappoint as they defeated Greene 72-38 in the consolation round of the MAC round-robin. It was Greene’s final game of the season while B-G awaits sectionals.

B-G had a strong first half, where they build a comfortable 43-21 lead at halftime and did not slow up after the break. Cyrus Megale, Aidan Haynes, and Michael Lipani had success with the long ball to help keep the momentum going.

Greene saw strength from senior Kloden Rapp in his final game, stealing the ball, driving quickly down the court, beating everyone for the score. Eli Eggleston and Keegan Waltz also helped strong offensively for the Trojans while Jacob Eroshevich showed great pressure on defense.

Cyrus Megale posted three threes to led the Bobcats with 15 points, having a consistent game. Isaiah Hampton followed with 13 points and made all three free throws he received.

Aidan Haynes had success with the long ball, knocking down three three-point shots for 13 points as well, including hitting a three to end the first half.

Michael Lipani had a good run before the break with eight of his 11 points and then hit a three in the third quarter. Colin Dailey was a crowd favorite and finished with nine points on the night.
