BAINBRIDGE - The Jericho Arts Council’s Gallery will be hosting two annual spring exhibits.
The 17th Annual Area Student Art Showcase will open on Saturday, March 15, at noon with a reception at 1 p.m. honoring the student artists and welcoming their family and friends. The Gallery will reopen that evening from 6-9 p.m. and also the evenings of March 22 and April 5. It will also be open on Tuesday and Thursday, March 18 and 20, Monday,March 24 through to Friday, March 28 from 2-5 p.m.
High school art teachers from Bainbridge-Guilford, Afton, Greene, Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, Sidney and Unatego will be hanging exceptional artwork from selected students. This has always been an outstanding exhibit from our very talented young people.
Jericho Arts Council is also issuing a call for artists for the 44th Annual Fine Arts Show, scheduled from Saturday, April 26 to Sunday, May 11. The show will feature artwork in four categories: oil and acrylic paintings; watercolor and gouache paintings; drawings, graphics and mixed media; and three dimensional artworks.
The Fine Art Show prospectus is on the JAC website (www.jerichoarts.com) and in the Gallery if you would like to share your art. Professional and hobby artists are all welcome. The Gallery is located on the second floor of Town Hall, 15 North Main Street, in Bainbridge, New York. Admittance is always free.
