Sidney Memorial Public Library Welcomes Community To Local Events
Published: March 7th, 2025

SIDNEY — The month of March is going to be a busy month at the Sidney Memorial Public Library with programs almost every day with something for everyone.

The Smart Community Room has hosted many wonderful displays over the years. During the months of December and January, Howard lent the library her beautiful artwork for display. Big thank you to Keiko.

During the remainder of February and the month of March, the In Stitches quilting group is displaying an amazing array of beautiful quilts. This quilting group meets at the library the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. to quilt. They meet in the Smart Community room and all levels of quilters are welcome to join. If you ever thought you would like to learn to quilt, this would be the perfect opportunity.

The Sidney Memorial Public Library and the Service Corps of Retired Executives are partnering to provide a free quarterly series of business development workshops. Registration is required for these workshops.

The first workshop will be held on March 6 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. accounting, insurance, and legal considerations will be the topic for this workshop presented by Dennis Slattery and David Green. Learn how to evaluate your business concept from both a strategic and tactical viewpoint.

Slattery explained, “Creating a business requires one to understand what you want your business to look like in five years as well as what specific actions you need to take next week. My role is to help you formulate these plans.”
